The content of this site is based on my own experience operating a home inspection service in coastal Maine, USA, between 1989 and 2005. My experience is in this geographical area. However, much of what you find here would be valid in any geographical area.

My hobbies and avocations are centered around building, music, art, and photography.

Home inspection professionals are generalists who endeavor to find out and report to you in writing as much as possible about the condition of a home in a limited amount of time.

The process of selecting and providing a good professional home inspection service involves, above all, common sense.

The majority of my referrals come through former clients or attorneys.

No home inspection professional would be able to find every problem during a home inspection. Likewise, the content of this site is provided on an informational basis only. It is not intended to represent the "last word" on the subject of home inspections nor should it be relied upon as such.
